HISTORY AND TOUR IN ATHENS

Capital and Metropolis of Greece, Athens is one of the oldest cities in the world. A powerful city-state of antiquity and the cradle of the culture of letters, philosophy and democracy. Athens in antiquity constituted the beginning of the Western world and philosophy. In a cultural and historical journey you can admire the most important monument of Greece, the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Acropolis Museum, the most modern Museum of Greece with finds from across the ancient city of Athens. The Foundation of ancient Athens is referred from the Mycenaean era. The first inhabitants were the Pelasgians and according to mythology was the first King of cecrops. In the Byzantine years Athens was destroyed by the Eroyloys in the 3rd century, but the glamour of until the emergence of the Roman Empire. With the coming of Christianity gradually Athens declared Christianity as the official religion. The name of Athens is derived from the goddess Athena where were her gift after the fight with the god Poseidon.
